  • Do you serve both residential homes and commercial businesses?

Absolutely. Our experienced team is equipped to handle projects of any size, from straightforward driveway repairs at residential properties to extensive commercial parking lot paving and striping.
  • Which areas do you service?

We serve residential and commercial properties across central and eastern North Carolina, as well as portions of northern South Carolina. Please contact us to verify that we cover your particular location.
  • How do I know if my asphalt needs to be replaced or just resurfaced/repaired?

Minor cracks, small potholes, or surface fading typically indicate that resurfacing (an asphalt overlay) or sealcoating will suffice. However, if the underlying foundation is compromised, or if you're experiencing extensive severe cracking (known as alligator cracking) and deep rutting, a complete replacement is likely necessary. We provide complimentary inspections to assess your pavement's condition.
  • How long does a new asphalt driveway or parking lot last?

When professionally installed in North Carolina, an asphalt surface typically lasts between 15 and 30 years. The longevity depends on factors such as soil conditions, climate, heavy vehicle traffic, and consistent maintenance through regular sealcoating and crack repair.
  • How long do I need to stay off my driveway after it's paved?

We advise keeping vehicles off newly paved asphalt for a minimum of 48 to 72 hours. During North Carolina's hot summer months, the asphalt requires additional time to fully cure, so it's best to limit heavy vehicles and avoid sharp turns (such as power steering while stationary) during the first week to prevent scuffing. Foot traffic is generally safe after 24 hours.
  • What is sealcoating, and why is it important in North Carolina?

Sealcoating provides a protective layer that shields asphalt from moisture, UV rays, oil spills, and fluctuating weather conditions common in North Carolina. It stops water from seeping into the asphalt base and causing surface cracks, effectively doubling your pavement's lifespan while restoring a fresh, dark black appearance.
  • How often should I sealcoat my asphalt driveway or parking lot?

We typically recommend applying sealcoating every 2 to 3 years. Newly installed asphalt should cure for approximately 6 to 12 months before the initial sealer application.
  • What is the best time of year to pave or sealcoat in North Carolina?

Paving and sealcoating require warm, dry conditions for proper application and curing. The ideal window in North Carolina runs from spring through late fall. That said, work can be performed year-round as long as temperatures consistently stay above 50°F and no rain is expected.
  • Are you licensed, bonded, and insured?

Yes, A+ Paving maintains full licensing, bonding, and insurance in the state of North Carolina. We're committed to safety, quality workmanship, and complete peace of mind for all our customers.
